Fall 2008
This summer, my husband Don and I traveled to Scotland. We were impressed by the people, the castles, the bagpipe music and the overwhelming presence of sheep. Everywhere we went, herds of them covered the beautiful green fields and even blocked some roads, so much so that I joked to Don, "this would be the place to come to if you had insomnia and needed to count sheep!"
Now back at BrightKey, I'm reminded of those sheep every time I talk to a client about what keeps them up at night and how we can help. Our tagline and mission put it simply "We'll handle it for you." BrightKey's professional staff takes care of all your support needs, allowing you to rest easy knowing that your customers and members are in good hands.
We're passionate about taking the worry out of order fulfillment and subscription processing, warehousing and mailroom operations, and all the services we provide to our clients. We continually keep an eye out for ways clients can trim costs and increase revenue.
We know that a tight economy demands renewed concentration on member acquisition and retention. We've been there, done that,
and we're here to help do it again!
For example, we just acquired a new operations center on Larkin Road, in Savage, Maryland. Thanks to BrightKey's Client Service Center, for the first time ever, these new clients will have instant visibility into critical inventory levels. The American Council on Education, ICMA-Retirement Corporation, and American Psychological Association will now be able to avoid costly last-minute reprints and benefit from more efficient replenishment schedules.
And, we're now negotiating with a major international shipper to secure the best rates for shipping and distribution outside of the U.S. We want our clients to stay competitive and grow at home and around the world.
One more thing about Scotland. The green pastures reminded me of the way that BrightKey stays environmentally friendly through large-scale recycling. Each month, we load up two tractor trailers with scrap paper and cardboard and send them off for processing, keeping tons of unnecessary waste out of landfills while at the same time demonstrating our commitment to being green!
At BrightKey, we welcome the chance to tell you more about how to turn volatile times into profitable times. In other words, how to go from counting sheep... to counting new members and increased revenue.
As always,
Rita Hope Counts
